3D Animation Lecturer

Description:
This position is ideally suited to a freelance 3D artist based in London who has an extensive portfolio and formal training in a related field. Previous teaching experience isn't a requirement however those with previous experience will be looked at first. A formal qualification is a must and should be degree level in a related field at minimum.

Key attributes of any applicant will include organizational skills, motivation, creativity and amazing communication ability.

Successful applicants will become part of the Qantm team and will be lecturing classes ranging in size from 6 - 30 people. In addition to scheduled teaching, staff at Qantm are expected to attend regular open day and in-house events alongside the numerous external events that Qantm is present at. Further opportunities for staff development exist in the form of event attendance and internal training.

In addition to local benefits, proven staff members are invited to apply for positions at our numerous other campuses around the globe (currently over 50 locations).

The courses currently offered at Qantm London run in modules allowing us to use different lecturers for each module.

Facebook Application Development Lecturer

Description:
Qantm London is currently looking to employ a highly skilled Facebook application developer on a part-time basis to lecture various module areas of the current curriculum. In addition, the successful applicant will be responsible for the development of the curriculum for the Facebook development training.

Responsibilities:
- Lecturer for the Facebook development modules
- Work with a high-level of organization and forward thinking
- Develop and maintain a basic curriculum for the Facebook application development modules

Required Knowledge/Experience:
- Experience with Facebook application development
- Extensive experience programming in Javascript, HTML, CSS, PHP, MySQL, AJAX, XML tracking (2+ years)
- Familiarity with the Facebook user interface and technical features/limitation
- Ability to keep to strict deadlines a must

Desirable Knowledge/Experience:
- Usability training

Game Level Design Lecturer

Description:
Qantm College London is currently seeking an industry seasoned Game Level Designer to take on the role of lecturer for the GLD module. Previous teaching experience isn't a requirement however those with previous experience will be looked at first. The courses currently offered at Qantm London run in modules allowing us to use different lecturers for each module.

Key attributes of any applicant will include organizational skills, motivation, creativity and amazing communication ability.

Successful applicants will become part of the Qantm team and will be lecturing classes ranging in size from 6 - 30 people. In addition to local benefits, proven staff members are invited to apply for positions at our numerous other campuses around the globe (currently over 50 locations).

The role would be suited to a senior level designer who has worked with game and level designers to expand on and implement level specifications making good use of the available game mechanics. Also previous experience working with other departments to bring the level architecture, props, lighting, event triggers and AI scripting together to create a fun, atmospheric experience.

Responsibilities:
- Lecturer for the Game Level Design modules
- Work with a high-level of organization and forward thinking
- Develop and maintain the curriculum for the Game Level Design modules

Required Knowledge/Experience:
- A proven track record in the games industry and have shipped at least one AAA title in the same position.
- Previous experience with the delivery of core game play elements.
- Must be passionate, motivated, rigorous and autonomous, eager and open to others, work effectively in a collaborative team environment with good team spirit and excellent relational and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to construct interesting game levels using UnrealEd.
- An artistic eye and / or good technical skills (Material Editor / AI / Kismet).
- Ability to plan and design a level specification.
- Good understanding and experience on tools generally used in video game productions.
- Experience working on Unreal Engine Technology.

iPhone Development Lecturer

Description:
Qantm London is looking for a motivated lecturer who has previous extensive Macintosh developer experience in the programming of native iPhone applications. Previously completed projects should have been consumer facing applications, where attention to detail and UI experience were paramount.

Responsibilities:
- Lecturer for the iPhone developer modules
- Work with a high-level of organization and forward thinking
- Communicate with industry designers and back-end technology partners to ensure lessons have an industry focus

Required Knowledge/Experience:
- BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Experience with iPhone development
- Macintosh product development experience (2-5 years)
- Extensive experience programming in Cocoa/Objective C (2+ years)
- Familiarity with the iPhone's user interface and technical features/limitation
- Ability to keep to strict deadlines a must

Desirable Knowledge/Experience:

XNA Lecturer

Description:
Qantm London is currently looking to recruit a skilled XNA developer.

This position does not require formal training or any level of qualification in the subject however applicants should be able to demonstrate a high level of proficiency with the XNA framework.

In addition to knowledge of the framework applicants should have strong communication skills in order to train individuals of varying ages on XNA.

Successful applicants will be given internal training to assist in the planning of lectures and tutorials. Once complete events will be scheduled where training seminars and lessons will be given to groups of varying sizes and age groups.

Successful candidates will be required to pass a CRB check due to some of the age groups they will be working with outside of the Qantm campus.
