Ideally candidates will already have a passion for design, web 2.0 sites such as Flickr, Last.fm and Facebook, and want to expand their technical and theoretical skills on top of developing their personal style and that all-important portfolio. Active experimentation and creative development are encouraged with qualitative teaching methods giving students the knowledge and skills required in this fast-changing industry.
Web work is generally very practical in nature so the course may be more practical compared to many normal university courses. However, theoretical lectures provide a great context and plenty of industry interaction offers a very practical 'real world' angle.
