Qantm courses are focussed around two types of modules, core and shared. The core modules form the subject specific backbone of each course. These modules provide the technical and highly concentrated elements of each course topic. Shared modules give students a broader understanding of their subject area, provide additional learning scope and also help to create a more diverse portfolio.
The combination of core and shared modules ensures that students not only have a detailed and extensive understanding of their chosen field of expertise, but they also have basic understanding of how the fields around them operate and prepares them for work within team environments.
A key advantage to the Qantm modular system is the opportunity to collaborate with students from the various courses, which can be invaluable for final projects and portfolios.
Students are assessed on the projects they produce throughout each trimester. These projects ensure students remain hands-on throughout the course and also provide material to enhance their portfolio and show reel. Outside of lectures, students have extensive tutoring and facilities available to them to work on assignments and further develop portfolios.
Qantm's teaching style and work ethic combine a blend of training establishment and university styles. This combination is unique to Qantm and provides a feel that is targeted towards that of a real life production house, whilst still retaining the academic outcomes.
Shorter vacations than most universities and extensive tutoring time allow Qantm to provide the full diploma in a time period of 1-year. This 1-year diploma is full-time and intensive, and can lead students to a degree progression which is an additional 1-year.
